Mardi Himal trek is one of the most popular trek in recent days, which is explored by countable number of visitors. Located in Annapurna Conservation Area, the trek offers many attractions from 800 meters to 4450 meter highest point.
As you continue the trek you will be able to feast your eyes with the stunning views of Mount fish tail (6993m), Himchuli, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Mardi Himal and its landscapes. You will be walking through lush green vegetation, river valley, villages, terraces, and rhododendron forest.
The trekking routes mostly consist with rocks, roots, ridges of the huge hills, cliffs ragging river, farm lands and off the beaten trails that cannot be compared with other routes. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll meet our representative who will escort you to your hotel in Thamel. Depending on your arrival time, you can decide your day either resting, or exploring the city, or preparing for your trek.
After breakfast, you'll take a scenic drive or flight (depends upon the package) to Pokhara, a city on the bank of Phewa Lake. The 210 Km drive takes about 7-8 hours to reach the wonderful town of Pokhara whereas the flight takes just 30 minutes. Along the way, you will traverse through several river valleys rich in culture and you'll also have the opportunity to observe the stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range.
After breakfast, you'll take a 45-minute drive to the village of Kande, where you'll begin your trek. The trail climbs through forests of rhododendron, oak, and maple trees to the village of Australian Camp. From there, the trail continues through forests and pastures to Forest Camp.
Today's trek is a gradual climb through forests of rhododendron and oak to Low Camp. Along the way, you'll have panoramic views of the Annapurna Range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Peak.
Today's trek is a steep climb to High Camp, where you'll have spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. You'll pass through forests of rhododendron and dwarf bamboo, and you may even spot some wildlife, such as Himalayan thar or musk deer.
Today's hike is a challenging climb to Mardi Himal Base Camp, where you'll have stunning views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna South. After spending some time at the base camp, you'll return to High Camp for the night.
Today's trek is a steep descent through forests and pastures to the village of Siding. From there, you'll take a jeep back to Pokhara, where you can relax and explore the city.
After breakfast, you'll take a scenic drive or flight (depending on the pacckage taken) back to Kathmandu, where you can relax, do some shopping, or explore the city.
Today is your last day in Nepal. You'll be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
Mardi Himal trek is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The main final point of the trek is situated on the north-east part (25 Km approx.) of Kande, the trek starting point.
Mardi Himal trek takes about 4 to 5 days to complete. However, you can extend the trek to other destinations like Annapurna Base Camp or Ghorepani, Poonhill.
The best time to do Mardi Himal trek is in the month of March to May and September to November. These are the peak trekking season of Nepal and offers the best weather conditions with clear skies and moderate temperature.
The Mardi Himal trek is moderate in terms of physical difficulty. However, its technical difficulty is hard, as you have to walk along the exposed ridge of huge cliffs. So, to complete this trek safe and sound you should be physically fit and technically efficient.
