We prioritize cycling and limit the use of vehicles whenever possible. Additionally, we actively practice reuse, recycling, repair, and paperless work in our office.

From the very beginning of our journey as a mountain biking tour operator, Pokhara Mountain Bike Adventure Pvt. Ltd. has been dedicated to social responsibility. We firmly believe in giving back to the community and fostering sustainable development. Here are some of our CSR initiatives that showcase our commitment to making a positive impact.

Empowering Local Youth through Free MTB Training to Empower them to Become a Guide and National Riders

Recognizing the lack of opportunities for skilful manpower in the mountain biking industry, we took the initiative to offer free mountain biking training and coaching to local youths, particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. By providing access to education and skills, we aim to empower these individuals to be a part of the tourism industry and reap its benefits. Today, we are proud to see many of these youths become national champions, South Asian Downhill champions, and professional MTB bikers.

Building a School in Rural Kutumsa Village 2013

In the village of Kutumsa, where access to basic necessities is limited, we felt the need to make a difference. Pokhara Mountain Bike Adventure joined hands with our kind-hearted customers and volunteers to support the construction of a school in Kutumsa. This initiative has led to the establishment of a well-equipped school with better facilities and resources, including books, uniforms, snacks, stationery, and sports equipment.

Providing Furniture to Pitamber Higher Secondary School 2014

Understanding the importance of a conducive learning environment, we donated benches and desks to Pitamber Higher Secondary School in Syangja district. This contribution has positively impacted the students and teachers, providing them with the necessary furniture for comfortable learning.

Extending Support during Earthquake 2015

In the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal in 2015, Pokhara Mountain Bike Adventure Pvt. Ltd. actively participated in relief efforts. We distributed food, clothing, and temporary shelters to the affected families, aiming to alleviate their suffering during this difficult time.

Organizing Health Camps in Rural Kutumsa 2017

Recognizing the lack of healthcare access in Kutumsa village, we organized free medical health check-ups and treatment camps for the disadvantaged people living in this rural community. These camps focused on gynecological health, eye care, and general health check-ups, providing much-needed medical support to those in need.

Supporting Education for Disadvantaged Children 2017 onward

Every year, we extend support to disadvantaged children from rural villages by providing them with stationery, uniforms, and mentorship. We firmly believe in empowering these children with the necessary resources for their education, paving the way for a brighter future.

Goat Distribution Program for Economic Support 2018

In 2017/18/19, Pokhara Mountain Bike Adventure initiated a goat distribution program to provide economic support to needy individuals in rural communities. This program has been highly successful, as it allows the local community to share and benefit from these goats, uplifting their economic conditions.

Providing Relief during COVID-19 Lockdown

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many individuals were facing financial hardships due to job losses and economic shutdowns, we stood in solidarity with our local community. We contributed to food relief efforts to support the needy people who were affected by the lockdown, ensuring they had access to essential sustenance during these challenging times.

Promoting Female Guides

To challenge societal stereotypes and promote gender equality, we initiated a program to engage female riders as professional guides in our company. We established a committee to select and motivate female riders, providing them with training and mentorship opportunities. Our female riders, including Sophiya Biswakarma, Nikita Pariyar, Isha Rai, and Babita Pariyar, are on their way to becoming certified guides in 2022 and 2023.

Environmental Awareness Programs 2023

Recognizing the importance of environmental sustainability, we partnered with schools and college youths in January 2023 for an awareness program. Our team collaborated with the Green Generation project, with female team riders taking the lead in mentoring about the benefits of cycling for health, local tourism, and the environment. This fully sponsored program provided free bicycles to participants, and our team riders volunteered their support to spread the message of environmental conservation.
